Hailing from New York by way of Kingston, Jamaica, Dennis “Shango Trex” Llewellyn has been on the scene since the 80s blending the impact and melody of soul music with the rhythm, groove and feel of reggae.

In his early childhood, Shango Trex was introduced to a life as a musician by learning how to play the trumpet for the National Cadet Orchestra. He later became well known for his vocals by being an active member of his church’s choir.

It was only a matter of time before he began performing music professionally.

His style and presence is so unique that he’s had the opportunity of gracing the stage with the likes of Dennis Brown, Beres Hammond, Gregory Isaacs, Luciano, Frankie Paul, and Garnett Silk amongst many others.
